In our local press there was a report that the current Pope has decreed that the use of condoms by male prostitutes is okay now as it is a health issue.
Still banned for hetros of course as it is a sin to use contraception.
This can be read several ways: that it is okay to protect the life of a male but not a female; that male prostitution is not sinful or less sinful than limiting the size of ones family.
Seems we have a real disconnect about right and wrong these days.

What should we expect from the Pope? They are guided by medieval customs, with a small attempt to counter modernism. Who listens to him, anyway? The majority of Catholics practice contraception and have for years. If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears....
