Jonathan Gallagher, the GC, and the rule of law?

This morning I was doing some reading on the SDAnet mailing list and came across a post about Jonathan Gallagher.  In 2008, he resigned amid false (according to him) accusations dealing with his time as the SDA liason officer to the UN, his work with human rights (partly with the UN), pornography, and misuse of funds.

The post on SDAnet linked to three pdfs hosted by Pine Knoll Publications.  I link to them here:

http://www.pineknoll.org/jonathan/jg-gc … ummary.pdf - Executive Summary of the charges against Jonathan Gallagher by the GC

http://www.pineknoll.org/jonathan/jg-le … l-memo.pdf - Legal counsel memo from Ziprick &CRamer, LLP

http://www.pineknoll.org/jonathan/jg-gc-resignation.pdf -- Resignation letter to Jan Paulsen

Maybe you are already aware of this situation.  I haven't fully read through all three documents yet, but this seems to be the sort of issue that ATomorrow converses about.  The issues here are many, including following the proper rule of law (Adventist and Christian), destroying a man's reputation with possibly false accusations, etc.

Yes, I read those.  It is not the first and will probably not be the last time that the G.C. has "tried" someone and found them guilty, usual of sexual sins.  The lack of evidence that the G.C.  said they had was refuted by Gallagher's attorneys, and finally the G.C. had to back down and  threatend to destory him if he did not resign.

This was the same ruse followed for ousting the G.C. treasurer, David Dennis, and told in his own words in his book "Fatal Accounts."  It was used before with others.  When the SDA authorities  decide to get rid of someone, they will stop at nothing to blacken the name of an innocent individual.  Few know about this, but the ones that do usually remain silent as they are also employees and dare not speak.

Re: Jonathan Gallagher, the GC, and the rule of law?

The SDA church is an anti-Gospel hierarchy.  Which means that those at the top control everything and everyone.  Step out of line, and your career will be over.  Unless, you fall back in line, that is.

This is how the leaders have managed to keep the massive 1888 fraud covered up in the White Estate all these years.  While a number of church employees knew about it, none dared to go public and tell the truth.  Why?  Because they knew what would happen.  Their careers with the church would be over, even as they would become the brunt of trumped up charges of slander and defamation.

The only reason the story about 1888 became public, is because Tom Norris never worked for the church, and thus I did not care what the leaders said.  They had zero control over me.  Which is why I was offered a number of different positions from the leaders.  As if I could be bought off, like so many others.

In fact, this is what they also tried to do with Dr. Ford.  They offered him financial incentives if he would back down and play along with what the leaders wanted.  But he was not for sale.  Consequently, they went on to slander and defame him, making up one false story after another so as to justify his termination.

So this is the way the GC is managed.  Everyone that works for the church is fearful about saying the wrong thing, because they all know they could be terminated on a whim, and their reputations ruined.  THIS is why no SDA Pastor will discuss tithe or many other issues.  It could cost them their jobs.

The constant fear of termination is a very effective weapon, even as it is very sinful and disgusting.  But it gets the job done and keeps the money flowing into this rotten organization that is headed for hell.

In fact, numerous Pastors and GC leaders have fallen into sexual sin.  Some even had children because of their affairs.  But guess what?  Those that submit to the leadership, and remain loyal to their superiors and to their false theology, are quickly forgiven and moved to another location until people forget the scandal.  This happens routinely, just as it does with the pedophiles in the RCC.

If someone has crossed the line by refusing to co-operate, or do as they are told, then they are treated very differently.  The leaders will invent scandals so that they can remove the uncooperative person for cause.

This is what happened to Dave Dennis.  He refused to hide the accounting fraud of the top leaders, so they slandered and ruined him, pretending he was unfit to work at the church because of sexual sin.  But others, who really were guilty of such behavior, were not removed, but protected by these same leaders.

Such hypocrisy and slander is routine for SDA’s.  This is how they operate.  And things will never change until these false leaders are removed and a new Gospel organization is developed for Adventism.

Luke 6:31 “Treat others the same way you want them to treat you.

Titus 3:1 Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed,

Titus 3:2 to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men.

1Pet. 2:1  Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander,

As for Pine knolls, and the awful theology that Maxwell promotes, that is another story.

Here is a link to some past discussion about this:

In conclusion, the SDA church today is so corrupt and so wrong about doctrine, that there must be Repentance, Reform, and Re-organization.  The status quo is impossible to sustain, nor should it be saved or protected.  Old Covenant Adventism is an abomination that does not deserve to exist.  All should protest the present situation and demand reform.
