To speculate that all animals were vegetarians is to be unable to explain,..... <BR> <BR>...how cows and oher ruminants digested grasses...without the bacteria in their stomachs....which only live a short while, reproduce, then die.... <BR> <BR>did adams hair grow? did his epidermis die and flake off to give him new skin every few weeks? <BR> <BR>did Eve menstruate? and lose blood cells <BR>...gone...dead...and unfertilized eggs also dead every month? <BR> <BR>did Adam have wet dreams, and waste his little seeds...more death of living tissue? <BR> <BR>and if all animals were vegetarians, that means they had no carnivors to worry about.... so why punish all the "game" animals by making grass eating lions into carnivores, making their digestive tracts and teeth evol....ah, change to allow them to eat and digest animal flesh?...just because Eve was deceived by a mystical talking snake? <BR> <BR>God even cursed the ground!!! why punish that? <BR> <BR>isn't it far more logical to explain this legend as the ancient scientifically ignorant, superstitious nomads ways of splaining things to their kids around the campfire.

I'm all for John and Elaine believing how they want to. I'm just for a denomination having their way at their school. No one ever said that you would go to a university, any university, and come out with your own view. I know I never thought that when I went to university, and graduate degree, I went to learn. Elaine and John I think feel you go to raise doubt in your mind. Never took a class hoping for that outcome.

Come on John, you didn't go to AUC hoping to get a secular education. English class might be a lot like your friend who went to public school, but you had friends learning with you that for the most part were Adventists with like beliefs that they might use to write an essay, without being laughed at by secular students. <BR> <BR>Math, you can learn again what has been acquired in a Calculus text, and again, have a Christian teacher and not a bunch of secular students that maybe just are thinking about getting drunk that night at a fraternity party. <BR> <BR>The environment you picked at AUC, you had certain expectations. If what you get is say no better than the local community college, why pay the difference. <BR> <BR>If like the LSU problem, they are teaching evolution when you did want to know what the evolutionists had up their sleeve, knowledge wise, but as a Christian you knew that evolution would do away with Christ's life and purpose, you learn the body of knowledge of evolution, but recognize it's limitation. If you don't have teachers that teach that way, why not that local community college.
