A taboo broken?

A long taboo finally broken, or is it?

In order not to make Soviets/Russians angry,

it was forbidden in Finland to publish pictures or articles dealing with atrocities performed by Soviet partisans toward civil populace.

That ban for horror pictures was cancelled 2006.

Now the horrifying picture archives are open to public.

The picture you seen after clicking the link below shows a Finnish soldier carryin the body of girl slaughtered in Suomussalmi.

Link:

http://www.sana.fi/etusivu/puheenvuorot/sodan_kauh uissa_viela_kasiteltavaa_/?session=59894908

When the partisans went back to their unit, they boasted having destroyed an enemy military base.

Some were even decorated for their "bravery".

Thus far the close relatives who happened to be in hiding and saw the murders, have not got any support worth mentioning from the state.
