Thought this was appropriate after viewing the ship's stature:

"I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship."
- Louisa May Alcott

Re: World's Biggest Cruise Ship

I wonder how long it will be before we hear a report of a spouse overboard. Seems there's been a spate of them from off the cruise ships over the past couple of years. That ones tall enough to allow you to do something fancy on the way down.

Somehow the aesthetics don't portray the look of other (vacation/party?) ships. This one gives me the impression of what a prison ship might look like from the outside.

I'd better shut up before I give the New world Order guys some ideas.

looks like it will tip over the first time caught broadside to a light gale..or if a flight of Canada Geese impacts the upper floors.

but I'll go if they offer hang gliding off the fan tail...

Re: World's Biggest Cruise Ship

The ship is so large that there are only a few places where it can dock; the available ones are nothing but tourist traps.

Imagine 5,000 passengers, plus crew! I wouldn't dream of such a "vacation cruise"?

I much prefer the river cruises in Europe on ships that carry less than 150 passengers and crew. If one loves crowds, such a huge ship is surely not a "get-away" unless you're from a small village and like to vacation in cramped quarters and thousands of other people.
