Re: Rasmussen.com Presidential Approval Rating - Obama

You, and Rasmussen, are Lying With Statistics Bob. The headline on the graph says "Presidential Approval" and then only shows a graph of strong approval or strong disapproval. You should do some research on polls and polling techniques before sticking your foot (or thumb) into your mouth.

The new "100 Day" ABC News-Washington Post poll released today:

Net APPROVAL

4/24/09...69
3/29/09...66
2/22/09...68

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/poll s/postpoll_042609.html

Re: Rasmussen.com Presidential Approval Rating - Obama

Rasmassen is an independent, maybe the only independent pollster around. Your stats are gathered by ???????

You just got finished lecturing me about accepting news source articles as "wild speculation". ABC and their interview with Sarah Palin were independent, give me a break!!!! I have some swamp land in Florida if interested.

Re: Rasmussen.com Presidential Approval Rating - Obama

Neal, you forgot the word Index. The +5 is Obama's Approval INDEX. Read carefully around statistics, Presidential Approval Index means something different than Presidential Approval. Read and use carefully. It mau take you a few minutes being from the high altitudes of Colorado, before the brain starts functioning at capacity?? Thin air and all !!!

2 point narrowing in his Index, just in the last day, the difference between his approval and disapproval ratings.

Re: Rasmussen.com Presidential Approval Rating - Obama

A couple of thoughts, the "Presidential Approval Index" has a + or - error rate of 3 points. So if like today, the Index is five percent, it could be 5, 8 or 2 percentage point difference between those that approve and those that disapprove of his job. At 3% it could be 3, 6 or 0, which at 0 it would mean there is equal number that approve as disapprove of his job. Just a thought about statistics and polls.

Re: Rasmussen.com Presidential Approval Rating - Obama

In the ranking of accuracy of polls in the November 2008 election, Rasmussen and Pew were the most accurate, and shockingly the Reuters/CSPAN/Zogby was rated 18th and ABC/Post at 14th.

How much worse can it get? Some think this was why he was in such a hurry to get his Obamacare through before we all had a chance to read it:

How can you tell that African Americans have made it to equality?

When an African American president can experience fluctuations in popularity and no one notices. In other words, when Obama can succeed or fail based on policy initiatives and the community are not shocked that this "black" man is having trouble.

All politicians experience a dip in their popularity when they try to solve problems with unpopular measures.
.

Who brought up race, Don???

He was presented in a Messiah-like manner in his campaign. Let him live or die, policy wise, on his merits, not based on race. Look at by how much he won, the whites were rooting for him too. Where did your remark come from???

Why aren't there more white guys in the NBA? or the NFL?

PERFORMANCE

Why can't the Black culture of the USA or even Africa grasp that concept without speaking of racism or why can someone talk of promised consequences to the Jews promised in the Bible for rejecting the Messiah without being called antisemitic ?

This gets into what is "Hate Speech" and what is a belief that is expressed with something other than prejudice to back it up, eh?
