The Case for a Creator

At the very least, it's giving faith an immense boost as new findings emerge about the incredible complexity of our universe. Join Strobel as he reexamines the theories that once led him away from God. Through his compelling and highly readable account, you'll encounter the mind-stretching discoveries from cosmology, cellular biology, DNA research, astronomy, physics, and human consciousness that present astonishing evidence in The Case for a Creator<!-/quote-!>

http://www.equip.org/site/apps/ka/ec/product.asp?c =muI1LaMNJrE&b=2537845&en=ksINLUNKImLMKVPCJbJKIUOC IdLXJ7PCJ9KTJdOMIlI3KjI&ProductID=431002

Re: The Case for a Creator

the photo also shows how wide the Red Sea is, and how impossible it would have been for Moses to siplly hit a rock, hold outhis magic wand, and provide a dry path thru it!!!

tho maybe the "reed sea" farther north in the pic might have qualified for a few thousand Habiru to escape...tho how likely is it that millions could have lived in the desert depicted in that pic with no food, no water, and survived for precisely "40" yrs?

Re: The Case for a Creator

I marvel whenever you guys get going, suggesting erroneous ideas you think others hold. One track minds about a dome and flat earth. That's ok, sometimes people run out of things to talk about. Not too much to get a belly laugh out of John.

If you believe in an all powerful God, nothing is impossible.

(Message edited by Bob_2 on May 18, 2009)

Neal, stupid seems to be a common word in your vocabulary. I find that intriguing that it comes up in your verbage so much. You must have ridiculed others with it prior to the here and now.

(Message edited by Bob_2 on May 18, 2009)

If you believe in an all powerful God, nothing is impossible.

That is false. You mean 'If there were an all powerful God, nothing would be impossible.

The problem for you, Bob, is that the only thing that has turned out to be impossible is evidence that the genocidal maniac's God is anything more than the common belief of the time. Just like their neighbor's beliefs.

Concerning 'Stupid'...

You must have ridiculed others with it prior to the here and now.

I don't believe I have. However, your fallacious arguments just beg for the term.

Should I use foolish instead? As in 'Those that declare on public forums that macroevolution is untrue are fools'.

Is that better?

Re: The Case for a Creator

Genocidal, that is a word that is overworked like abuse and victim. If God wipes out a wicked people is he genocidal or are the people that are wicked deserving of destruction. Neal why not move on to discriptive words that you haven't beaten to death. I understand your comfort level with the old and warm, but a little tiresome, IMO.

Re: The Case for a Creator

If God wipes out a wicked people is he genocidal ?

how about all those innocent Egyptian kids? how wicked were they?

and all the little children massacred during the alleged flood?> were they also wicked?

and all the innocent animals drowned during the alleged flood? where they wicked?

and as Christians, should we not be emphasizing reeducating the wicked instead of killing them?

If God wipes out a wicked people is he genocidal....

Yes.

... or are the people that are wicked deserving of destruction.

Luther and Hitler both claimed the jews were wicked liars that deserved banishment and death. Were the Jews wicked? Obviously in the eyes of those two men. Same with the idea of the OT that their neighbors were wicked. There is absolutely no evidence that the jews were any different than there neighbors in their morals or lack thereof. From the evidence found in Egypt in the Book of the Dead and ancient proverbs it suggests that it was the hebrews that were the wicked ones.
