OOOh Bob, I'm so scared of your threats. Sorry, better try other tactics as your bark only gets louder because you are impotent to do anything about those you disagree with but call them names.

When, and if Ryan decides to censor, I'm sure he will be able and not need your input.

Re: Give us this day our daily link-ette

"got a virus? adware? a trojan? a worm?
download malwarebytes free"
------
I tried that first, several times, but it wouldn't stay on the screen long enough to "click"it. The prompts I got that came up from the malware virus, several at a time, prevented me from performing the function. I kept getting promps saying that I had an infection and that malware was attempting to retrieve data from my system, and that I needed to purchase an antivirus program from them now to stop the intrusion.

It was advertised as a Microsoft anti virus/worm/trojan remedy for something like 69.00 or 79.00 dollars. It was a scam though, to get your credit card #'s and other info.(I didn't buy it. I was awake enough to google "microsoft antivirus legitimate" and found that it was a scam.) The infection was on my google home page saying that google also advised purchasing the antiviral product too. Also when I wasn't even on the net, the prompts came up when I went to playing music on my windows media program.

I had just installed Kaspersky internet security 2009 three weeks before(80 bucks) because it claimed it was better than Norton, McAfee, Trend Micro and Microsoft for protecting against "viruses, trojans, worms, spyware, and adware, identity theft and phishing spammers and hackers". PLUS 1. Advanced Proactive Protection. 2. Unmatched System Performance. 3.Parental and Privacy Controls. 4.Free Technical Support.

And: Free automatic "HOURLY UPDATES AGAINST THE LATEST THREATS"!!!

Well, I got infected anyhow. The malwarebytes things didn't work even though I removed it and reloaded it again after the first try failed. (The dude at Best Buy said he got infected a couple of weeks before and it worked for him just fine, but I wasn't to have such luck)

I ended up having to go call Kaspersky to find out what to do, but I had to hand the job over to my wife so satan wouldn't entice me to think and say bad words. She had to copy and send info and then they had their guys diagnose the problem and send the fix to download. She said it could take up to 48 hrs for their techs to respond, but they had it back and we were on line again within 18 hrs of our notifying them of our problem.

And I lived happily ever after. THE END

Cadge

Re: Give us this day our daily link-ette

I have AVG and wasn't effected. I had a local computer group scan my computer lately and they used AVG going about as deep into my computer as it can go, using the safe mode, finding viruses, malware, and adware that were slowing my computer down to almost none functioning. Again it wasn't from here, but I highly recommend AVG.

Re: Give us this day our daily link-ette

Similar tactics have been sucessfully utilized by humans since history began: quid pro quo. Another form of the barter system.

Re: Give us this day our daily link-ette

There are similarities between animal and human behaviors. Big surprise?

The first union, according to the Genesis story, demonstrates that it was Eve who extended food to Adam, not he to Eve. So, what does that prove?

Re: Give us this day our daily link-ette

It has already been disproven that because embryos pass through similar looking phases that the argument, so goes man's evolution, is erroneous, so similarities like the ones you and John mention mean.......??????????

Who mentioned embryos? It's adult human and chimp behavior that was under discussion, not embryology.

We were discussing this behavior like that behavior or similarities meaning something. Sometimes yes, not always. Just coincidental.
