Nelson suggests that SDAs were raised to minister to Jews and Muslims

If you have time listen to Dwight Nelson, Senior Pastor of Pioneer Church at Andrews University. Here is the link:

www.pmchurch.tv   sermon 9/10/11  the anniversary of 9/11.

Go to 24 minutes in to the video:

Why are SDAs best suited to create bridges to Jews and Muslims as Spiritual Israel:

Similarity to Jews:

1. The belief in one God.
2. The seventhday Sabbath.
3. The Ten Commandments
4. The seven-day Creation
5. The sanctuary of God and it's unique truth.
6. The truth about death and the resurrection.
7. The divine health code.
8. The Great Controvery between God and Satan.
9. The Spirit of Prophecy.
10. The Great Day of Atonement.
11. The truth about the Messiah Redeemer.

Similarity to Islam:

1. The one beneficent Creator God.
2. Reverence for the Holy Book. (Though a different book)
3. A life of prayer in commitment to God.
4. A life style of radical health (no pork, no alcohol).
5. Acts of charity in devotion to God.
6. An endtime Judgment.
7. The return of Jesus, the Messiah.

Is Dwight Nelson correct, is this why the SDAs were raised up to minister to these two groups, due to their similarities?? All childre of Abraham???

(If you have trouble getting to the video, let me know and I can get you in another way.)

The sermon title you can search for within www.pmchurch.tv is

Part 3: The Last Word: "The Children of Abraham ‘In the Bosom of the Father’" (Reflections on September 11 and John 1)
