And Dispensationalists believe the Jewish Davidic and Palistine Covenants will be fulfilled, the land covenants, in the final eschatology. <BR> <BR>Question, when the Jews failed in their unbelief, why would the Davidic and Palestine Covenants not be conditional and be spiritualized into Spiritual Israel? Why would God reward unbelief? <BR> <BR>Britian gave land to Israel back in the 40s, and the USA has kept Israel armed to the teeth, but neither of those are fulfillments of Biblical texts or covenants. Romans 11 is conditional, broken branches can be grafted back in if they believe in the Messiah, but if not they will stay broken off from the vine or olive tree which ever analogy you like.

Bob Sands, it is interesting that you post a link to quango and Bob Brinsmead's old antisabbatarian material. Bob B. always had a gift of following his views to their logical conclusion. When he abandoned the Ten Commandments (and the Sabbath) in the Third Use of the Law he realized that that he had to abandon the Second Use as well. Then having abandoned the Second Use he realized that the idea of a forensic atonement had to be abandoned as well. So for a while he embraced the Moral Influence view of salvation. Then in order to embrace the Moral Influence view, he realized that he had to abandon Paul as an authority so he ended up abandoning the entire bible as well. So now he is a Darwinian humanist having abandoned all revelation about God other than by mere human reasoning just like the French Revolution which worshipped the Goddess of Reason. By the way I am still in touch with my old friend and mentor and he is in my prayers every day without fail. I owe all of my theological training to him when I was in my twenties and thirties. If his message of the 1970's would have been accepted, Adventism would have taken the lead in the restoration Protestant movement in its proclamation of Sola Scriptura, Sola Gratia, Solo Christo, Sola Fide.

Bill, my family was "persecuted" by the church because of Brinsmead, and studying what he said. But before you throw him out with the bath water, lets talk about which phase of RDB you are speaking of. This article is NCT as best I can see. Where he went after this, is not necessarily where everyone else will go or end up because they see his logic in this argument. That is argued by SDA all the time. "Oh, that's RDB, you don't want to end up like him." Give people with critical thinking skills a break and realize that they can see where he goes and when.
